With the addition of rose oil and blood orange oil you will enjoy getting lost in the flowery heavens.
Uses: Treats body aches, draws out toxins, exfoliates the skin, re-mineralizes, moisturizes, and tones the skin.
TRADITIONAL USE & WHO:
Herbal, salt and oil baths have been used since time immemorial by cultures around the world for healing, beauty and luxury.
Tribes of South America often bath someone in protective plants of the jungle (that's where Codes of the Muse got inspired) to rid the system of unnecessary junk before traditional medicine ceremony.
In communal baths of ancient Greek and Roman times, bathers would scrub down with salts and oils and then use different coniferous plants like Pine, Fir or Juniper for aromatherapy and antibacterial purposes. In Egypt, private gardens with pools consisting of lotus, papyrus, mandrake, poppy and cornflowers were called Gardens of Rebirth where people would go for physical and spiritual benefits.
While today there are many soaps and gels which have plant derived scents and oils, there's nothing better than using the full flower or plant to receive all of its benefits, including tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, etc. "The infusion of a whole fragrant herb is often considered to be more effective than its pure volatile oil." (Farid U. Alakbarov )
Ishtar Scrub and Soak brings you an opportunity to heal and luxuriate with the whole plant as in ancient times.
Invoke Ishtar, Assyrian goddess of love and war, to bring the most out of your ritual and turn your pain into beauty.
HOW TO USE:
After entering the bath and warming the skin, apply scrub and massage salts, herbs and oils into skin. Lay down in the bath and allow your body to soak in the detoxifying salts and continue to massage to take in the oils. Eventually use a washcloth or sponge to rinse the product from the skin. Small plant particles may be left behind so give yourself a good thorough rinse.
Also works in the shower for a quick method of scrubbing and moisturizing. Dry off and feel how silky soft you are. (Your bath or shower may also need a quick rinse down as plant particles may get left behind. *Worth it.*)
