TRADITIONAL USE & WHO:
Welcoming the energies of the Earth, Air, Water & Wind, Father Sky, Mother Earth, and the Way of the Heart. We honor White Buffalo Woman as a great teacher and divine figure of Feminine Presence. She gifted the Native people of Turtle Island the care of the sacred Peace Pipe, and brought a messages of vibrant and moral living through respect and reverence for All Beings; especially women and children, respect for life, death and seeing all things as sacred.
With her Peace Pipe came the use of tobacco to make prayers to the Great Mystery. It has been used in ceremonies such a sweet lodge and sun dances and is often considered a "telephone" to god as it brings prayers directly to a higher consciousness. We apply it topically and with reverence for its power to commune with what is needed to keep ourself feeling held, protected and vibrating in love.
We also honor the traditional use of Sweetgrass as a sacred plant that was used in weaving, basket making, and braided and burned to pray, smudge and purify amongst the Native people of America. The sweetgrass calls in a warm, innocent energy.
Gratitude to Haleakala Cedar trees giving us their branches to receive the sweet aromas and grounding force of these nearly 100 year trees first planed in Maui in 1927. And to the many gardens and hands that made it possible to gather all of these medicinal plant allies.
